Custom labels from Northwest Cellars

Northwest Cellars (Portland, Oregon) offers uniquely blended wines and custom labels to customers around the world. Blended from wines from top wineries in the Pacific Northwest, Northwest Cellar wines have become a popular choice for custom labels, commemorative gifts, and special promotions, as well as for sale under the Northwest Cellars label. The company's wines have earned many awards and rave reviews from the wine press. For example, the company's 2005 Merlot just won First Place Overall (out of 613 wines) in the Seattle Wine Awards, and its 2005 Intrigue a Vintner's Honor award (as well as 90 points from Wine and Spirits magazine).

NW wines: A growing reputation

The Pacific Northwest has a latitude the same as the famous French wine growing regions. The moderate climate of the West Coast, plus cool nights and rich soils, let the NW wine-growing region produce some of the world's best wines. Washington and Oregon are the US's largest wine-producing states after California. Washington State has nearly 500 wineries and over 30,000 acres of wine grapes; Oregon, over 350 wineries on over 17,000 acres. In particular, Oregon is noted for varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah; Washington for Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and other reds, plus several whites.

The two states have many distinct wine-growing regions:
Washington: Yakima Valley, Walla Walla Valley, Columbia Valley, Puget Sound, Red Mountain, Columbia Gorge, Horse Heaven Hills, Wahluke Slope, and Rattlesnake Hills. Oregon: Willamette Valley, Chehalum Mountains, Yamhill-Carlton District, Ribbon Rodge, Dundee Hills, McMinnville, Eola-Amity Hills, Umpqua Valley, Red Hills Douglas County, Rogue Valley, Applegate Valley, Southern Oregon, Snake River Valley.
